You CAN make a difference
Typically, you might walk into a shelter or browse through an online list of dogs, pay a fee, and take a dog home. While that’s the norm, we take pride in doing things a little differently.
We’re NOT a shelter, nor are we a large rescue organization with funding and paid staff. Instead, we are a group of unpaid volunteers, each with full-time jobs, family commitments, and busy lives. We fund our rescue out of our own pockets, ensuring every dollar goes directly toward the care and well-being of our beloved Beagles.
Our list of available Beagles changes constantly because we rescue dogs from a variety of situations, including testing labs, abandonment, and puppy mills. We rescue Beagles both in-state and out-of-state, and sometimes even from other countries. Wherever Beagles need us, we are there!
At this time, we don’t have the manpower to create or update a constantly changing list on our website. Additionally, we always prioritize those already approved on our waiting list and work to match them with the Beagles in our care first. If we don’t find a match, or if an emergency placement arises, we post those special Beagles on our Facebook page (link below) and KSL.
If you’re a true Beagle lover and ready to bring a new fur baby into your life, DO NOT WAIT—complete the form below and get your name on the list.
Utah Beagle Rescue is a nonprofit organization operated entirely by dedicated unpaid volunteers.
While there is NO adoption fee, we deeply appreciate any contributions or donations you may be willing to provide.
Our Adoption Process: A Personalized Approach
After submission, our volunteers will contact you to schedule a phone interview. Please keep in mind that this process may take some time. We never rush decisions because we know how important it is to make the right match.
We’re NOT here to offer quick fixes or "free" dogs. We’re here to help you find your next family member and the missing piece of your heart.
Our adoption process includes the following:
A 30-minute phone interview to understand your family’s needs and preferences, helping us match you with the right Beagle.
A meet-and-greet and home visit/inspection are also required to ensure a good fit for both your family and the dog (A virtual visit may be acceptable in cases of inclement weather or remote locations).
A fully fenced backyard with at least a 6-foot fence is preferred; invisible or electric fences are NOT acceptable.
