From her earliest memories, Ketty displayed a profound love for animals, and her heartwarming dedication to saving and caring for homeless animals set her on a path of true altruism. In 2014, she earned a master's degree in Business, and her thirst for learning led her back to school for additional accounting classes. In 2021, life presented Ketty with a significant challenge when she was diagnosed with Ameloblastoma. However, she faced this adversity with unwavering strength, undergoing extensive surgery and a transplant. Through this experience, she gained a profound perspective on the brevity of life, prompting her to pursue a lifelong dream, leading to the establishment of Utah Beagle Rescue.
Today, Ketty dedicates her professional skills as a Financial Analyst for the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement, and every minute outside of work to her mission. As she often says, "Saving one dog can't change the world, but it will change that dog's world forever."

Becky Smart - Becky was born and raised in Upstate New York and now a transplant to Utah. She was blessed with unique experiences, unlike most, that her upbringing afforded her. Becky has what others consider the absolute “love of animals” built into her DNA, which can easily be attributed to the foundations taught to her in her youth.
Becky was raised by her mother on their family’s farm, she worked tirelessly on neighboring farms throughout her life. It is with these experiences she learned the values she now holds dear. Becky passionately believes all animals, both small and large, have worth and deserve every human’s protection from mistreatment and neglect. She has served and worked for many non-profits and volunteered for animal shelters and homeless shelters. She has served as a public servant for over a decade and continues to do so; helping those in need throughout the state and country.
Becky has been able to do more for others since obtaining her graduate degrees from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Becky recently founded her own consulting firm in which she can assist more people in need, regardless of how big or small the issue or financial situation, and offer advice, resources, or assistance, simply based on the core values instilled within her from childhood which can be summed up as: “All living things have worth, value, and deserving of help.”
It is this background, chosen career paths, professional achievements, and educational accolades that led Becky to be the devoted animal lover and compassionate person she is today.
